sysäys (=shunt forward)
Three artists from Orivesi, Tuulia Soininen, Merri Heikkilä and Onni Toivonen, decided to put their dream into action and thus the first Sysäys festival was born in July 2025. We want to bring high-quality and current dance and circus art to our own hometown of Orivesi. It is important to us that art is visible here, where we live and work, and at the same time that we are able to employ local artists.
A big thank you goes to the Pirkanmaa Cultural Foundation, the City of Orivesi and the Orivesi Campus, thanks to whom the festival could be launched!
