Open call for dance and circus films!

We are seeking dance and circus short films for a screening taking place on Saturday, January 31, 2026. The screening will be held in Orivesi, at the Orivesi Suoja building. We are able to offer a small screening fee of €50 (invoiced). Apply by December 8, 2025.

We are looking for films with a maximum duration of 20 minutes. We are especially interested in films that relate thematically to nature or the environment. The primary form of expression in the film should be dance, circus, or other embodied/physical expression. The films must be made in Finland or otherwise have a connection to Finland.

We encourage applications from creators of diverse backgrounds, including for example FLINTA+ individuals, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, BIPOC creators, immigrants, and people with disabilities. The screening is curated by dance and video artist Tuulia Soininen and it is organized by Sysäys ry in collaboration with the City of Orivesi’s cultural services.
